Everywhere, national based revolutionary groups have failed to seize the opportunities for revolution. In countries all over the world, the forces of reaction have punished the left for its failures.

The mass of workers respond spontaneously and with whatever tools they have, which might vary from trade unions and strikes to protests that are all too frequently permitted to dissipate by petty-bourgeois and pseudo-left leaderships. The imperialist order and the entire capitalist system must be opposed on a world scale, and this requires the creation of global organizations that can do it.

What is needed is a World Socialist Party at the head of a mass movement, the kind of revolutionary leadership of the proletariat that the Bolsheviks sought to establish when they founded the Communist International after the success of the Russian Revolution. Today, under conditions of globalized production, the Russian experience as an isolated working-class revolution cannot be repeated and only such a global leadership can ensure success in even one country and prevent the slide into war and a hellish social and political landscape.

No matter how militant the masses become, this leadership cannot develop on its own. The bourgeoisie, through the division of the world into archaic nation-states and the global imperialist system, which is the means by which global financial capital rules the world, keeps the struggles of the world working class divided. At the same time, globalization has fundamentally undermined nationalism. This calls for organizations that can respond globally, and only the global proletariat can accomplish this if it is equipped with a strategy that bases itself on the bedrock principles of Revolutionary Marxist Internationalism.

To fight for a future for the whole world, it is necessary for workers to emblaze upon our banners the slogan: for international organizations of the working class as the foundation for a world socialist party to lead the workers to power in every country!

As the capitalist crisis worsens, it is finding its expression in a worsened onslaught on the social position of the working class, social upheaval, and a stepped-up push toward war... Everywhere in the world, the representatives of the ruling class and their cronies, whether they are on the "left" or the right, have arrived at a dead end. 

On picket lines and mass protests around the world workers are feeling their power, but it needs to become part of a united and conscious struggle aimed at seizing state power and establishing workers’ governments in every country. Efforts to put pressure on the capitalist state to enact reforms to contain this crisis will only fail and leave the masses demoralized. A diseased social order in social and political descent, capitalism and its nation-state system are headed for disaster... 

Growing sprouts of working class opposition portend an eventual worldwide revolutionary situation, but we will lose if we allow the ruling class to isolate our struggles country by country. Thinking broadly and globally is necessary to combat the ruling classes' attacks, which have the backing of all the world's governments. It is necessary for us to draw the lessons from the failures of every nationalist-reformist program and take up a new strategy. 

If looking to nationalist and reformist or pseudo-left organizations to save us is incapable of offering a way out, then workers need a new political alternative - a genuinely revolutionary world socialist party based on the international working class. Only global organization and struggle can put us in a position to fight back and bypass the constrained parameters of the national trade unions and pseudo-left parties, which continue to be shackled by the nation-state and bound to pro-capitalism. 

Only such a party, fighting for a world without ruling classes and borders, can offer a solution to the economic crises, wars, the drive towards authoritarianism, climatic disasters and other social crises which are accumulating with no end in sight. The task of such a party would be to fight for the intervention of the international working class as an independent force, capable of imposing a working class solution to the crisis of capitalism and its nation-state system. Without such a party, capitalism will deliver us a future of increasing poverty and social stratification and ecological and social collapse, if not a nuclear apocalypse. 

For the international unity of the working class!
